Hello again everyone! By request I thought I would show you guys how I make my zero waste vegan foundation! Let me know if you have any questions.
PSA For anyone having audio problems or with a language barrier: These are all estimates that you may have to tweek to match your skin color* Light Skin: - 2 Tbsp arrowroot powder (or you could use baby powder/cornstarch) - 1/2 Tbsp cocoa powder - use twice as much if it is in powdered form* 1/2 tsp beet root/rose powder (pink undertone) or matcha powder (neutral undertone) or tumerick (warm/yellow undertone) - 10 drops of jojoba or grapeseed oil (If you dont have these, use a oil that is sutible for your skin or just leave it out completely ) Medium Skin: - 1/2 Tbsp arrowroot powder (or you could use baby powder/cornstarch) - 2 Tbsp cocoa powder - use twice as much if it is in powdered form* 1 tsp beet root/rose powder (pink undertone) or matcha powder (neutral undertone) or tumerick (warm/yellow undertone) - 10 drops of jojoba or grapeseed oil Dark Skin: - 1/4 Tbsp activated charcoal - 2 & 1/4 Tbsp cocoa powder - use twice as much if it is in powdered form* 1 tsp beet root/rose powder (pink undertone) or matcha powder (neutral undertone) or tumerick (warm/yellow undertone); if you have an orange undertone, I would mix beet and tumerick. - 10 drops of jojoba or grapeseed oil - if in liquid form: mix this with your favorite lotion/body cream/ sunscreen in small portions and refrigerate* The less liquid you use the more pigmented it will be. (: I hope this helps! Leave any other questions in the comments below. P.S. This was an experimental recipe I created that works well for me. I personally prefer the powder form but If you like liquids, you can add silicone to your foundation to make it more like your favorite brand but I found it challenging to find this sustainably. - With Love, Marri.
